Persons With disability (P.W.D.) Scheme
     
 

Persons With Disability (P.W.D.) Scheme is a centrally sponsored scheme for upgrading some of the selected polytechnics to integrate the persons with disabiities in the main stream of Technical and Vocational education. Sree Rama Govt. polytechnic College is one among the two polytechnics in Kerala selected for the implementation of the scheme. The Project implementation was inaugurated by Sri. A.C. Jose, Hon M.P. on 9th Nov 2001.

The Scheme aims at providing 25 seats over and above the santioned strength for physically disabled in Diploma courses and giving vocational and skill development non formal training for 100 students per year.

The campus offers admission to disabled persons to regular three year diploma courses in five disciplines of Engg. namely,

  • Electrical
  • Electronics
  • Computer

Eligibility

As stipulated by the State Govt. rules based on merit at SSLC at par with concessions available for SC/ST categories. Candidates should have disability 40% or above certified by the Medical board.
