Priyadarsini auditorium, the silver jubilee monument of Sree Rama Polytechnic, witnessed a function on 17^th April 2008. The meeting was convened for the purpose of constituting an organizing committee to implement the Golden jubilee programmes. A 630 member committee was constituted with Ministers as chief patrons and Sri T N Prathapan, Hon. MLA as the Chairman. The General convener is Sri. C S Rajan (Principal). Sri. K V Peethambaran (Standing committee chairman, Thrissur District Panchayath), Sri. N R Premakumar (Lecturer in Physics) and  Sri. Jitheshkumar (Alumni) are the Conveners to the programme. Sri. T M Sivaraman (Lecturer in Mechanical Engg.) and Sri. K V Davis (Lecturer in Civil Engg.) are the Joint conveners and Sri Austin Antony (Lecturer in Electronics) is the treasurer to the programme.

          A draft proposal for a Rural IT Park comprising of a Finishing School, Digital Library, Multimedia conference hall has been proposed. The celebrations are scheduled from August 2008 to August 2009. The scheduled programmes include Project competition, Project Exhibitions, Seminars, Workshops, Sargotsavam, Alumni meet etc. The project estimate is Rs 260 lakhs.
